The potential jail sentence for Sean Higgins, the drunk driver who killed Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, has been revealed as the charges he faces are now known.

Mike Greenberg of ESPN announced the passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau on Friday morning, revealing at the same time that the driver was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and death by auto.
In Mark Scheig's words:
«ESPN's Mike Greenberg announced Johnny Gaudreau's passing on Get Up. Within that, he said the driver of the car was arrested and charged with two counts each of driving under the influence and death by auto. #CBJ.»
Later, his identity was made public: Sean Higgins, 43, drank "five or six beers" before getting behind the wheel and attempting a dangerous maneuver that eventually cost the lives of the Gaudreau brothers.
He officially faces two counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, which could lead to a 10-year sentence per charge. He could also be fined $200k for each victim.
The legal proceedings are likely to take some time, meaning that we probably won't know the final sentence for a few months.
Stay tuned as more updates about the Gaudreau tragedy continue to come in.
