Over the years, Max Pacioretty has been one of the NHL's most consistent forwards, but in the past two seasons, he has played in just 52 games as a result of several injuries. However, he spent the 2023/24 campaign with the Washington Capitals getting healthy, and after tallying 23 points in 47 games, he has shown he may be healthy again, and came into the summer looking for a huge opportunity.
Now, insider Frank Seravalli has revealed that three teams have offered the 35-year old a deal, with a decision on his immediate playing future expected to come very soon.
Following the report, three teams were linked to Pacioretty, with his former team the Montreal Canadiens among them, alongside the very young Buffalo Sabres and San Jose Sharks. While being a mentor would be a fantastic role for Pacioretty, as he has served as the captain of the Canadiens in years gone by, he may be looking to chase a Stanley Cup late in his career, so now we will sit back and wait to see where he ends up.
