The Avs signed Tatar to a $1.5 million dollar deal before the start of the 2023-24 season, hoping he could give them some depth throughout the lineup. Tatar has played 27 games so far this season, scoring just 1 goals and 9 points. He's been made a healthy scratch a few times by Colorado Jared Bednar.
After being drafted in the second round by the Detroit Red Wings in 2009, Tatar also went on the play for the Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Colorado, and now the Kraken.
