The Pittsburgh Penguins will need to make a decision concerning Jake Guentzel soon. With his contract coming to an end after the current season, the organization could decide to trade him ahead of the deadline or give him an extension.

A new proposal emerged on social media that sends Guentzel to one of the top teams in the league.

In the scenario, the Oilers would receive Jake Guentzel and the Penguins would get Philip Broberg, Xavier Bourgault, a 1st, 2nd and 5th round pick at the 2024 draft.
Here's the full post:
"We are month away from the deadline so expect a whole lotta hypotheticals the next couple weeks.

The Oilers get an elite winger to make their forward core the best in the NHL while the Pens get 2 high picks as well as former 1st round picks Broberg and Bourgault."

Edmonton Oilers to Sacrifice All Trade Assets to Go After Top Target Jake Guentzel?

The Oilers would need to pay a great price to get him. If they send all those assets, they probably won't be able to make any other deadline acquisition. Let's bet that if they do so, the organization will likely get Guentzel with a contract extension already lined up and keep him long-term.
There's no doubt that he would be an incredible addition for the Oilers ahead of the playoffs.
Do you think the Oilers should go after Guentzel on the trade market?
