The Anaheim Ducks and Montreal Canadiens just pulled off an AHL trade!

The Ducks snagged center Jan Mysak from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for right wing Jacob Perreault. Mysak's heading over to the San Diego Gulls, which is Anaheim's main development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Ducks and Canadiens Shake Up AHL with Trade

Mysak, who's 21 years old, has been making waves in the AHL, racking up some solid stats over the past few seasons with Montreal's affiliate the Laval Rocket. He's notched 20 goals and 11 assists for 31 points in 110 games. This season alone, he's already put up 13 goals and 7 assists in 48 games with Laval.
Now, Perreault, also 21, had a brief stint with the Ducks, making his NHL debut back in January 2022 against the New York Rangers. But most of his time has been spent with the San Diego Gulls, where he's notched a total of 91 points in 161 games since 2020.
So, that's the lowdown on this AHL swap let's see how these guys shake things up on their new teams!
