Tonight Marc-Andre Fleury has caused major controversy after taking a stand against Gary Bettman and the NHL with a huge decision.

Earlier today it was announced that Marc-Andre Fleury was denied permission to wear a special helmet paying tribute to Native American Heritage. Despite being denied there were reports that Fleury was considering wearing the helmet anyway.
Now we have confirmation that he is indeed defying the NHL and going forward with his new mask.

Fleury is likely in line for a huge fine for this decision but seems happy to pay it. He got to debut his new look tonight against the Colorado Avalanche.

Warmups will likely be the only time we see this look for Fleury as he is the backup to Filip Gustavsson tonight. The Wild trail the Avalanche 1-0 after the first period.
