The Anaheim Ducks and Columbus Blue Jackets were expected to meet tonight as a part of the NHL's Frozen Frenzy night, but unfortunately, it may not turn out that way after all.
An unfortunate situation
According to a report from Frank Seravalli, Nationwide Arena in Columbus is dealing with major power outages, and it could force the NHL to cancel a game on the night where all 32 teams were supposed to be in action.
Sounds like #CBJ and #NHLDucks are aiming for an 8:30pm ET puck drop with the power outage currently affecting Nationwide Arena in Columbus. Originally scheduled for 6:30pm ET as part of 16-game staggered schedule.
The report from Seravalli has revealed that the game has been pushed back to 8.30 PM ET, but it could now be cancelled if the situation isn't under control, and for a game with several walking highlight reels in Johnny Gaudreau and Trevor Zegras, this isn't a good sign for the league.
