The Boston Bruins haven't been too active since their double signing early in free agency, but now it appears they're targeting a veteran forward for depth.

The Boston Bruins went to round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2024, and now they're looking to go deeper and cash in on back-to-back fantastic regular season performances. Early in the summer, they added Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov in free agency, but with holes remaining on their roster, they still have some moves to make.
According to a recent report, the Bruins are one of a few teams that could be showing interest in Blake Wheeler, a veteran that spent the 2023/24 season with the New York Rangers.
The 37-year old played in 54 games a year ago in New York, tallying a solid 9 goals and 21 points, and while he's not the player he once was, he provides excellent depth and goal scoring ability. The Bruins improved over the off-season, but still have major holes in their forward group, especially in the bottom-six, and with the 2024/25 season drawing near, expect them to target Wheeler as a cheap, veteran addition to this talented roster.
