Jeremy Swayman won the role as Boston's No. 1 goaltender during the 2023/24 campaign, and now the team are moving forward with him in good faith.

Last off-season, the Boston Bruins and star goaltender Jeremy Swayman went to arbitration, and while they ended up finding common ground, it's somewhere teams don't want to go often, as it usually results in strains on a relationship. This year, things are reportedly different, as the team have opted against arbitration for the 25-year old goaltender, and after trading away Linus Ullmark, it's clear that they know his value moving forward.
Bruins have elected not to file for arbitration
With both sides opting against arbitration, it appears they are on good terms in negotiations, and with the 25-year old winning the starting role and their first-round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, he's about to get paid. Both sides have a strong negotiation point, but they have a fantastic relationship over Swayman's run in the NHL thus far, and after another stellar regular season, he could be set up to be one of the highest paid goaltenders in the NHL.
After the Ullmark trade, it signalled that a deal wouldn't be too far off between these two parties, and with the Bruins landing Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm in free agency, this is a team to watch as a potential Stanley Cup threat in the Eastern Conference in 2024/25.
