David Pastrnak, the Boston Bruins' superstar, has one big regret from last season: not pushing the series against the Florida Panthers in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, to a Game 7.

He admitted that the Panthers were the deeper and better team, beating the Bruins in six games in the second round, ending their season for the second straight year. It wasn't as stunning compared to 2023, when the wild-card Cats rallied from a 3-1 series deficit, dethroning the Presidents Trophy winners in overtime of Game 7, and washing the vibes from their record-setting regular season.
The offseason saw some big changes for the Bruins, including the loss of former Vezina winner Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators and saying goodbye to defenseman Jake DeBrusk. But they also made some solid moves, bringing in center Elias Lindholm and defenseman Nikita Zadorov.
Pastrnak, who netted 47 goals (35 on the power play) and racked up 110 points last season, is excited about the new additions.
We proved a lot of people wrong last year; we weren't even supposed to make the playoffs. We beat a better team on paper in Toronto.
The Bruins' dramatic Game 7 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs, thanks to Pastrnak's overtime winner, is still fresh in fans' minds, sending TD Garden into a frenzy.
Pastrnak finished the playoffs with four goals and eight points in 13 games, showing why he's such a vital part of the team. Now, with Lindholm and Zadorov joining the roster, Bruins fans have a lot to look forward to this season!
