The Chicago Blackhawks have had a rough couple weeks without their star forward as they now sit last in the NHL and what was bad just got worse.

Blackhawks Announce Bedard Will Miss 6 More Weeks

The Blackhawks have been without Bedard since January 5th after he received this hit from Brendan Smith.
The young stud has 15 goals and 33 points in 39 games this year and was far and away the leader in the Calder trophy race.
However the Blackhawks have confirmed that their star player will be out for the next 6 weeks.
Bedard's current head coach Luke Richardson had this to say:
"It was 6-8 weeks at the beginning was what was said so like I don't know; you're never going to know, but talk to me in a month,» he said. «He's not going to be the back by then. There's no change; it's the same so I don't know, six weeks from the start or from now, it's still in between the timeline. He [isn't] coming back next week, which would be great, but it's not about him wanting to or not. It's just about the medical side of things and the doctors will let us know when he's ready to come back." - Luke Richardson

With 6 weeks of no Bedard the Calder trophy may be fully up for grabs for any rookie and may mean Bedard loses the Calder trophy.
