The Detroit Red Wings saw one of their young prospects get in trouble in the Swedish Hockey League.

Detroit Red Wings Prospect Theodor Niederbach Gets Suspended After Dirty Hit in the Swedish Hockey League

Niederbach, currently playing for MoDo Hockey in the SHL, landed a solid hit on Timra's Axel Rindell. He got ejected from the game and the league decided to suspend him four games and fine him.

"Translation: "MoDo is appealing the disciplinary board's decision to suspend Theodor Niederbach for four matches after this situation, reports Expressen"
Niederbach's team has decided to appeal the league's decision.
Here's their official declaration:
"We think the outcome is far too harsh considering that their players take no responsibility at all in this case," MoDo sports director Henrik Gradin wrote in a text message to Swedish website Expressen. "I'm afraid of where Swedish ice hockey is going."

Drafted 51st overall in the second round by the Red Wings in 2020, he scored 10 points in 42 games this season. He has until june 1st to sign a contract with the Red Wings before he becomes a free agent.
