The Edmonton Oilers may be struggling to start 2023-24, but with some stars up front, they have the ability to turn it around, and with their record sitting at 2-7-1, they will need to do so quickly.

Reinforcements on the way?

According to a report however, Patrick Kane, who remains a free agent after off-season hip surgery is narrowing down his list, and it includes the Connor McDavid led team.
With McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane and other talented forwards, adding another Kane would certainly help this team, but with so many holes to fill, the question becomes, should the Oilers want to land the three-time Stanley Cup Champion?

A struggling squad

Beyond their victory over the Calgary Flames in the Heritage Classic, the Oilers have lost their past six games by a combined deficit of 14 goals, showing that goaltending and defense is much more important.
However, adding a proven winner like Kane is never a bad thing, and the hope is that if they can turn things around and get average play in the net, adding another star up front will help them turn their season.
