The Edmonton Oilers have just 2 wins in their first 9 games to begin the season. While their offense has been still pretty consistent the team can't find ways to win. The problems mostly lie with the defensive side of the game and the goaltending.
The Oilers have given up the 5th most goals in the league this season. This is entirely unacceptable for a team with Stanley Cup aspirations.
