The Edmonton Oilers are looking for help along the blueline and have been confirmed to be targeting the San Jose Sharks best defenseman.
Edmonton Oilers Targeting Ferraro From The San Jose Sharks
NHL insider David Pagnotta has recently linked the Edmonton Oilers to San Jose Sharks defenseman Mario Ferraro.
Ferraro is undoubtedly the Sharks' top defenseman logging the most minutes on the team and being tied for the lead in points amongst defensemen.
If he were to be moved to Edmonton, Ferraro would likely be a second-pairing defenseman. He will not come cheaply though as he is under contract for three more seasons at a reasonable cap hit which inflates his value.
There will certainly be other teams looking to land Ferraro but if the Oilers are able to pay the premium that the Sharks demand, then Ferraro could be the piece that puts them over the top.
