A few months ago, the Oilers lost one of their top AHL goaltending coaches Sylvain Rodrigue, who wanted to find a new role elsewhere. He just joined the Panthers.

In a recent report from Jim Matheson of The Edmonton Journal, it's been confirmed that Sylvain Rodrigue is joining the Florida Panthers' goaltending coaching staff. However, it remains uncertain whether his duties will be with the NHL team or whether they will send him to their AHL affiliate.
Since joining the Oilers in the 2018-19 season, Sylvain Rodrigue has excelled at developing top-tier goaltenders from the minors. Players like Stuart Skinner, Calvin Pickard, and Olivier Rodrigue have all shown significant improvement under his mentorship. Notably, Rodrigue has a personal connection to the Oilers' top goalie prospect, Olivier Rodrigue, as they are father and son.
Rodrigue's departure might upset some Oilers fans, especially those dissatisfied with the performance of current goalie coach Dustin Schwartz. Since Schwartz took on the role in 2014, several goaltenders have struggled to perform to the best of their abilities while with the Oilers. After a decade in this position, many feel it's time for fresh leadership and would like to see Schwartz as the next man out.
As Sylvain Rodrigue moves on to new opportunities, Oilers fans are likely wishing him success, but likely not when it's against their team.
