As the summer winds down, it seems like Rasmus Andersson from the Calgary Flames is becoming a top trade target for the Edmonton Oilers.

With the departure of Philip Broberg to the St Louis Blues, Oilers are in desperate need of a second-pairing right defenseman, and Andersson fits the bill.
Andersson is young, reliable, and affordable. At just $4.5M for this year and next, he's someone they could fit into their tight cap situation on the right side.
He's a solid two-way defenseman who racked up 39 points in 78 games with the Flames last season. The tricky part is the trade itself. The Flames won't want to send Andersson without a haul back, like a first round pick and prospects.
It's also important to note that the Flames have told their players that they're not expecting any big moves for the rest of the summer. They seem set on going into the new season with their current roster.
But with a guy like Andersson, and the boys falling a game short of winning the Stanley Cup, this might be the time for the Oilers to go all in and pull the trigger.
