Edmonton Oilers Coach Kris Knoblauch from the Edmonton Oilers has some disdain with the playoff penalty calls, and he wasn't shy about it.

After their 3-1 Game 2 loss to the Dallas Stars, he called out the inconsistency in penalty standards, saying it's tougher to draw fouls in the playoffs compared to the regular season.
The standard gets changed a little bit," it would definitely want to make sure it's a penalty when in the regular season, maybe some things get let go. That's obviously unfortunate for us. We've got a very good power play, and we win a lot of games on the power play. It's unfortunate for us that it's tougher to draw penalties in the playoffs than it is in the regular season. That being said, I think the standard is the same for both teams. I'm not saying it's unfair for us, but we would like the same standard.
It makes sense when you have a stellar power play like the Oilers, you want every chance you can get. However, it's not just the coach; the players are feeling it too. Connor McDavid and defenseman Mattias Ekholm are wondering why they're not getting as many calls as they'd like.
And Ekholm even pointed out a play where he felt like he got roughed up but got no whistle. The Oilers' penalty kill game is strong, hitting 92.7% this postseason. Game 3 in Edmonton is on Monday, and the Oilers are hungry to retake the series lead.
