The Edmonton Oilers have made it clear that they are trying to add a top 6 forward to bolster their offense ahead of the trade deadline at the right price. They are currently seeking a long shot for Flyers top forward Travis Konecny.

Oilers showing interest in Konecny

On the Oilers Nation podcast, Tyler brought up the idea of acquiring a bonafide top 6 forward to the Oilers. They mentioned Tyler Toffoli, Jake Guentzel and Travis Konecny amongst options.
The most likely one here is probably Konecny, as his team is currently on a downhill right now and GM Dan Brière knows the Flyers status despite them being in a playoff spot. It also makes sense knowing that the Oilers have been scouting the Flyers games as of late.
Konecny, who was the Flyers all star representative this year, has been having a hell of a season. He is leading the flyers with points with 43 in 51 games, 23 of those points are goals. He's a proven 30 goal scorer and can arguably hit 40-50 with Mcdavid on his line.
A potential trade can look like the following:
TRADE PROPOSAL
Oilers receive: Travis Konecny
Flyers receive: 2024 1st round pick, Dylan Holloway, Philip Broberg and Warren Foegele
An expensive price tag, but that's what it costs in the NHL to acquire someone with the pedigree of Travis Konecny.
More details to come.
