A security guard for the Edmonton Oilers had to be escorted out of the building following a heated exchange with a fan on Monday night during their game against the Dallas Stars.

The Edmonton Oilers fell 5-3 to the Dallas Stars on Monday night, with help from star players Jason Robertson and Miro Heiskanen, but a security guard may have been the story of the night.
During a video captured by an onlooking fan, an Oilers security guard can be seen acting very agressive towards a young fan and his father, even rushing back down the stairs in an attempt to fight one or both of them.
The man could be heard swearing at the young fan, and if that wasn't already bad enough, appeared to be attempting a physical altercation with him. The security guard was rightly removed from the game as a result of this altercation.
No matter the situation, it is very unusual for a security guard for a professional sports team to act in such an innapropriate way, and the Oilers are sure to deal with this issue internally and quietly, as to not take the attention of fans away from the ice.
The Edmonton Oilers trail in the Western Conference Final 2-1 to the Dallas Stars, and distractions like this will not help their comeback attempts.
