During a recent press conference, Dan Bylsma, the newly appointed head coach of the Seattle Kraken, dropped a big announcement that got everyone talking.

He revealed that he's considering Jessica Campbell, his former assistant coach in the AHL, for a coaching position on his staff. What makes this news even more significant is that Jessica could potentially become the NHL's first full-time female assistant coach.

Dan Bylsma, is a familiar name in hockey circles. With a 2009 Stanley Cup win from his time coaching the Pittsburgh Penguins and successful coaching stints at various levels, including leading the Coachella Valley Firebirds to the Calder Cup finals last year, the Kraken have a good coach on their hands.
