Well, it was a tough night for Stuart Skinner and the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals.

With the score tied at 3 in the third period, Skinner let in a softie on the short side to Jason Robertson, who completed his hat trick and put the Dallas Stars ahead 4-3. That goal completed Robertson's hat trick and was the game-changer, leading to a 5-3 victory for the Stars, giving them a 2-1 series lead.
Skinner had a mixed bag of a game. The first period was relatively quiet for him, but things heated up in the second when Dallas came out swinging and managed to beat him three times. He even made an incredible game-saving stop.
Now, to be fair, none of the three goals were entirely on Skinner.
Still, Skinner made some big saves throughout the game, including a clutch stop on a Mason Marchment breakaway and denying Joe Pavelski late in the second period. He even came up big against Matt Duchene on a third-period breakaway. But unfortunately, he just couldn't hold his ground on that crucial goal by Robertson.
To his credit, Skinner didn't shy away from taking responsibility for that goal. He owned up to it, admitting that it's one he should've saved.
Let's see how Skinner and the Oilers bounce back before its too late.
