MAJOR: Insider Reveals Which Team He Thinks Will Sign Patrick Kane
Patrick Kane remains unsigned as we head into the NHL regular season but a top insider has revealed which team he believes will land the future Hall of Famer.
LeBrun's Kane Prediction
Patrick Kane has yet to sign a contract but is likely going to sign one in the coming weeks after becoming 100% healthy. Insider Pierre LeBrun has been following the contract situation quite closely thus far and has received critical information we do not know.
Today, he made a prediction on where Kane will wind up signing and it is quite shocking:
Kane signs in Florida?
Going to his hometown Sabres makes a lot of sense, but my prediction is that Patrick Kane ends up with the Panthers.
One would think Florida would be more worried about its blue line, my sense is that the Panthers feel they can hang in until Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour return. Panthers general manager Bill Zito had Kane at a world hockey championship, where Zito made him captain.

Kane's Fit In Florida
Florida is at a crossroads. They made the cup finals last year and have generally the same group and one of the strongest offenses but took a step back from their president's trophy campaign in 2021-22.
While they added Matthew Tkachuk, they lost Jonathan Huberdeau and Mackenzie Weegar who were some of the most important members of that team.
Kane would fill the role Hubderdeau had and would likely slot in alongside Aleksander Barkov and wind up rejuvenating one of the most dominant lines in hockey.
