Patrik Laine is one of the more unique dressers in the entire NHL, and now former NHLer Mike Commodore has called him out for his appearance in Montreal.

While the NHL still implement a dress code on the way to the arena for the players, plenty of those players are still able to express themselves with unique looks that spice up arrival videos and photos for the fans. One of those is Patrik Laine, who has come out with some of the more unique looks that we've ever seen in the NHL, and along with his electric play on the ice, it's made him a fan favourite wherever he goes.
Now, he has arrived in Montreal, and despite being introduced some time ago, former NHLer Mike Commodore is only just getting to his criticisms of the 26-year old Finnish forward now.
"Those black-and-white spotted pants with the lime green shoes definitely did not belong in the locker room," claimed Commodore.

It didn't end there however, as he continued on with his criticisms of Laine.
Folks..I meant to comment on this weeks ago..I am trying to not to sound like an old crusty prick..but in what world is it ok to show up looking like a f*cking milking cow for your first look as a Montreal Canadien..A COW!

- Mike Commodore
While some people understandably didn't like the way Laine dressed, to attack him like this is certainly a choice that no one is a fan of, especially given the way that Commodore presented himself on the ice throughout his NHL career. Ultimately, hockey culture is finally changing with the times, and that means that not everyone has to wear a suit 24/7, and if Laine and the Canadiens are fine with the way he presents himself, then it simply shouldn't be an issue.
