The insider Stefen Rosner has hinted at a big change that could shake things up in the Islanders' organization in the next few months. He believes that Roy will be named general manager and Benoit Desrosiers, head coach at some point in the future.
Here's his full statement:
"I do think at some point it will be Roy at GM and Benoit at Head Coach."

Roy, who got a job in the Islanders' organization only a few months ago, could already get a promotion and become general manager, as Benoit Desrosiers takes over as coach.
The current GM, Lou Lamoriello, is 81 years old. It's safe to say that he doesn't have much time left at the helm of the Islanders. If the team doesn't make it to the playoffs, it could be the end of his tenure in Long Island.
Do you think Roy will replace Lamoriello as the Islanders' general manager?
