The New York Rangers came into 2022-23 full of expectations, and after landing Patrick Kane and Vladimir Tarasenko at the deadline, they were disappointing in their first-round playoff exit.

Even more expectations

Now, with a superstar roster with the likes of Chris Kreider, Mika Zibanejad, Artemi Panarin and others, they are shooting for the stars again in 2023-24, with the New York Media expecting Stanley Cup glory.
Being the longest tenured Ranger, Kreider knows what it will take to survive and thrive in New York, and in recent days, he's revealed just what's going down in the locker room in the wake of a disappointing end to last season.

Chip on their shoulder

Unsurprisingly, given the type of player he is, Kreider comes into 2023-24 with a chip on his shoulder, and says he expects everyone else to have the same, and with the media scrutiny in New York, it's safe to say things could get feisty this season.
Kreider is one of the most experienced leaders in that locker room, and if some guys don't turn up with that level of hunger and desire, it could be a problem, so keep an eye on the Rangers start to the 2023-24 season.
