He has quickly become a fan favourite with his willingness to drop the gloves. Since the postseason has begun, Rempe has attracted an entirely different group of admirers.

Matt Rempe, who will soon be turning twenty-two years old, has found himself in the center of attention amongst college aged women. Rempe has shown a lot of maturity by deciding to not respond or engage with any of these posts, although he has most definitely seen a few of them.

This sudden exposure to the spotlight can be quite overwhelming, especially in a heavily populated area like New York. Rempe has shown that he is capable of handling the fame and focusing his attention towards the Rangers. It is difficult to pinpoint the reason Rempe has received this most likely unwanted attention. Most would say that many of the posts definitely go too far.

Some of these posts border on stalking or harassment, it seems that many of the women who are pursuing Rempe have developed some sort of weird and unhealthy parasocial relationship with him.

This is nothing new, celebrities and pro athletes have always received this sort of attention from fans, but it seems that social media has contributed to the growth of this sort of inappropriate behaviour. Rempe has shown a lot of maturity with how he is handling this situation.
