The Philadelphia Flyers have had some issues in net in recent years, and now they may lose one of their most promising prospeects.

In 2023/24, the Philadelphia Flyers saw the North American debut of former third-round pick Alexei Kolosov, giving optimism that he could be a genuine chance to play in the NHL in 2024/25. Unfortunately, things have taken a sharp turn over the off-season, with the 22-year old reportedly requesting that his former KHL team Dynamo Minsk help him get out of his NHL contract with the Flyers.
Alexei Kolosov asked Dinamo-Minsk to solve the issue with the termination of his contract in the NHL.
We saw the same move recently with veteran Evgeny Kuznetsov, but after just arriving for two games in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the hope was that Kolosov was now here to stay. In a follow up report, it has been revealed that people within the Flyers organization believe the homesickness will pass and that Kolosov will be here to stay.
I'm hearing Flyers are not aware of anything regarding Alexei Kolosov going back to KHL. The belief is he was homesick and the hope is he'll be OK.

Kolosov, 22, is under contract and played in KHL on loan this season. He joined Phantoms in April.
As of right now, there's not been any official word from Kolosov's camp as to what his future holds, but if he remains in the AHL and builds on a promising start to his professional career, the belief is that he has a very bright future and could potentially become a starter in the NHL.
