The Pittsburgh Penguins failed to make the playoffs for the first time in 16 years last season, and this off-season, it became clear that they were ready to make some changes.
Now, they've made several front office moves official, with the biggest surprise of all being Kyle Dubas officially being named not only as the President of Hockey Operations, but the new General Manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
After years of solid building in Toronto, Dubas' team just couldn't get over the line, but after showing himself to excel in the role, it's a solid move for the Penguins to make.
Beyond the Dubas move, the Penguins also made several promotions, including Amanda Kessel taking another big step up in the organization, but it's safe to say that Dubas becoming GM was a big shock to everyone.
