Sidney Crosby is a creature of habit. From his pregame routine to his obsession with the number 87. He does not seem like a player who likes change. This is why it was surprising to hear that Crosby is willing to make a change to help Connor McDavid.

Olympic Games
NHL players have not been in the Olympic Games in many years. Recently it was announced that the NHL is working on returning players to the Olympics in the near future. As a result of this players and fans alike are starting to think about the opportunity.
Sidney Crosby in particular has thought about the Olympics. In particular Crosby has thought about and commented on his place on the next Canadian Olympic team.

Crosby Willing To Move To Wing

According to a new interview conducted with Sidney Crosby he has said he would be willing to play wing on an Olympic team.
I'll go there," Crosby said on Sportsnet's "32 Thoughts" podcast. "I'll play my off-wing, no worries. Listen, I've skated with him and I've played both, so I think I'm good either way with playing center or wing, whatever he wants to do. He can carry the mail. I'll just find the opening."

Crosby as always just wants to win. He is willing to do whatever it takes to be able to win at the highest level. In this case that could likely mean giving way to Connor McDavid and allowing him to be the centerpiece.
Crosby also touched on the landscape of international hockey as a whole. Many see Crosby and McDavid as favorites but Crosby himself is not so sure.
"Seeing all the other countries, you look at their lineups. I mean, it's pretty tight," Crosby said. "I mean, there's no real favored team. It's easy to say Canada because we've had success at Olympics and that sort of thing. But, I mean, the hockey is incredible. And from my experience, it doesn't really get any better than that, when you're looking at the lineups and you're looking to players that are assembled."

One thing is for certain it would be incredible to see Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid on the same team together. Imagining them on the same line together is almost like hockey heaven. International hockey is inching closer to becoming whole again and it can't come soon enough.
