San Jose Shark defenseman Calen Addison was ejected from tonight's game against the St. Louis Blues following an argument with a referee.

The San Jose Sharks faced off against the St. Louis Blues tonight from their home stadium the SAP Center. Unfortunately for 23-year-old defenseman Calen Addison, he was assessed a 2-minute minor penalty for a cross-check.
Instead of accepting this call, however, Addison decided to argue with the officials on this call. While we do not yet know what the player said during this exchange, it was enough to receive an ejection for the remainder of the game.
"Calen Addison is ejected after receiving a game misconduct

Addison also received a two-minute penalty for cross-checking, a two-minute penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct and a 10-minute misconduct"
Despite this early setback for the team, the worst-placing NHL team San Jose Sharks came out on top with 3-2 in overtime. This was a devastating loss for the Blues, who have nearly twice as many points this season overall, standing at 15th in the league.
