Two teams emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign Tyler Toffoli this summer after he confirmed he wanted to leave the Winnipeg Jets on July 1st.

Following a disappointing first round playoff elimination in Winnipeg, Toffoli never hid his true feelings: he had no intention of signing a new contract with the Jets.
In Winnipeg, he struggled to produce points on the same level that he usually does. In 18 games, he scored 11 points in the regular season, and two points in five playoff games.
Despite his difficult end of season, Toffoli wants to sign with another team this summer. David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period revealed that two of his former organizations could show interest in signing him: the Vancouver Canucks and the Los Angeles Kings.
From Pagnotta:
"There was some talk of maybe suggestions that New Jersey would go after him and he'd want to go back. I don't get that sense. I think he's going to explore other options. I know LA and Vancouver tried to get him in the season, two former teams. I think they're going to push for him hard."
Many teams will be looking for a goal-scoring winger on July 1st that could show interest to Toffoli. Because not only is he a talented forward that can change the outcome of games, he's also a genuinely nice guy that any team would love to get in their locker room.
Do you think Tyler Toffoli will sign with the Canucks or the Kings on July 1st?
