Biznasty Takes a Shot at Islanders Fans After They Booed Tavares' 1000th Point
Drafted 1st overall by the Islanders in 2009, John Tavares joined the Maple Leafs in 2018, and Islanders' fans still haven't gotten over it.
Each time he makes a return to Long Island, it becomes a special occasion. Islanders' fans seem determined to boo him every time he touches the puck.
Tavares Scores 1000th Point Against Former Team
During last night's matchup between the Maple Leafs and the Islanders, Tavares accomplished a significant milestone: he scored his 1000th career point.
He did so with only seven seconds remaining in the game, pushing it into overtime.
After the goal, the Leafs' bench emptied as players joined their captain in celebration, all while being showered with boos.
Despite his 621 points with the Islanders, fans didn't stop booing him.
Paul Bissonnette wasn't happy and he shared his thoughts on X.
Biznasty Criticizes Isles Fans After Booing Tavares on 1000th Career Point
The host of Spittin Chiclets and TNT analyst, Paul Bissonnette, took to social media to voice his thoughts on the way Islanders' fans treated their former captain.
"What a disgrace. Islanders fans are clowns. Booing a guy who gave his left nut to your organization. No wonder he left. Classless. Now we're going to pump your eyes shut in OT."
