Ryan Whitney under fire for disgusting social media post

In his career with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers, and Anaheim Ducks, Ryan Whitney became a well-known name. His career in media has gotten him into some controversy.
This post he released on social media after the Boston Bruins beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in game four has garnered major reactions.
One fan in particular flamed Whitney for his use of artificial intelligence to make the picture.
"I'm not a fan of the Leafs but what Ryan Whitney posted earlier today was way offside. That is not okay.

The Athletic reporter Ian Kennedy, who has a reputation for calling out incidents like this compared Whitney's actions to some of hockey's biggest controversies in recent years.
I took down my previous post, as there was no reason to show Ryan Whitney's disgusting use of s****l a*****t. R**e culture in hockey is real, and Barstool and SC are part of the problem in normalizing s****l a*****t in the game. So much work to be done.
While it is important to have a sense of humour in sports, this was definitely on the fence, if not over it. Boston Bruins fans and Toronto Maple Leafs fans alike are offended by Ryan Whitney's actions, and his job is likely on the line.
