The Winnipeg Jets have gone down 3-1 in their series against the Colorado Avalanche despite winning game one. Now NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed that there is a rift between the team and head coach Rick Bowness.

The insider made the revelation on his podcast 32 thoughts this morning. It was quite the bombshell as his comments were quite revealing about the Jets locker room. He also hinted at broader organizational problems, referencing a rift between the general manager and head coach.
Friedman did suggest that Bowness and Scheifele are not on the same page. Pointed out Mark's lack of adjustments comment. Also talks about disconnect between the GM who makes the roster and the coach who decides who plays. All of it Cole Perfetti related

Similarly, Jets alternate captain and first-line center Mark Scheifele called out Rick Bowness. He seems to blame the coach for the team's losses in games two, three, and four, citing a lack of adjustments to the Colorado Avalanche.
Sounds like Scheifele is calling Bowness out, "they've made adjustments and we haven't". #nhljets
Furthermore, Sheifele was not the only player to call out Bowness. Fellow forward Nino Niederreiter also called out the head coach for the same reason. He specifically stated that the team needs to change their plans in order to beat the Avalanche in game five. If those changes don't come, it could very well be a short series and short playoffs in general for the Jets.
Niederreiter: "I think we gotta change our game plan, I think there are certain areas in our game that we need to change"
