Max Pacioretty and Steven Lorentz, who both attended the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp on professional tryouts (PTOs) now have full-fledged deals with the team

After attending the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp on professional tryouts, or PTOs, both Max Pacioretty and Steven Lorentz have been given full-fledged deals by the team. Both come in at an incredibly low price.
Max Pacioretty, whose estimated career earnings come in at over $63 million, has signed a one-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs for $873,300, which is just over the minimum salary. He also has the opportunity to earn more money, over $600,000, if he can play a certain amount of games in the 2024-25 regular season. Pacioretty has missed several games over the past few seasons due to injuries, but is hoping to prove he can still go with the Maple Leafs.
Meanwhile, centre Steven Lorentz has also signed a one-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs for the league minimum of $775,000. Lorentz has played 230 regular season games in the NHL.
While neither signing is huge for the team, Steven Lorentz adds size and grit to the lineup (six-foot-four, 216 lbs.), while Max Pacioretty can certainly add more fire power for the Toronto Maple Leafs if the 35-year-old can find his offensive game again. In the meantime, the Maple Leafs also announced a new two-year deal for Cade Webber, a former fourth-round pick of the team. The first year of the contract is a two-way deal, while it turns to one-way in the second year. As mentioned by Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Maple Leafs have done everything they can to squeeze in as many players as possible under the NHL salary cap for 2024-25.
