The Toronto Maple Leafs have found themselves on the losing side in the Stanley Cup Playoffs when facing their rivals, the Boston Bruins. Star forward William Nylander seems to have come to terms with previous Playoff Failures.

Amazon's new highly anticipated show Faceoff: Inside the NHL has just been released on October 6th, giving fans a in-depth behind-the-scenes look at the league and its stars. In the first episode the focus is on the rivalry between the Bruins & Maple Leafs especially after their recent playoff matchup as well as the close friendship between star forwards William Nylander & David Pastrnak.
The episode revisits their first-round series last season between the Leafs and Bruins, where the Maple Leafs once again fell short against their division rivals. During a conversation between the two players Nylander candidly acknowledged the rivalry by saying:
"Yeah, that's because you always beat us. Every time we've lost, it has been so [awful]"

The episode offered a look behind the playoff match up between the rivals, showing the intensity, struggles, and grind that is the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We got to see Nylander's passion, and competitive nature firsthand. It also showed his full comments on the bench that gained attention during the series highlighting his hunger to end the Maple Leafs 57 year Stanley Cup drought.
Despite their best efforts in trying to come back from a 3-1 series deficit, the Maple Leafs eventually suffered yet another heartbreaking loss in Game 7 leaving both the players & fans devastated. Nylander's comments make it clear that he & the team are determined to break the streak & succeed this upcoming season.
With a new coaching staff and many moving pieces in and out of the Maple Leafs lineup, this team believes that in the end there may be some light at the end of the tunnel with the Stanley Cup finally making its way back to Toronto. Hopefully this belief can become a reality.
