In breaking news, the Utah Hockey Club just signed a former Stanley Cup champion, Robert Bortuzzo.

The newest team in the NHL, Utah HC, announced on Saturday afternoon that they've reached a deal with Bortuzzo ahead of the 2024-25 NHL season.
In their post on X, it was revealed that he agreed to the terms of a one-year, two-way deal with Utah:
Drafted 78th overall in 2007 by the Pittsburgh Penguins, Bortuzzo made his mark in the NHL with his great defensive talents, despite scoring only 20 goals over the course of his career.
He may have only scored 74 points in 560 NHL games with the Penguins, St. Louis Blues, and New York Islanders, but the 6'4" defenseman has a +39 plus/minus, which is significant.
Notably, he also won the Stanley Cup with the St. Louis Blues in 2019. He will bring that experience with him to Utah as the team looks to cause a surprise going into the first NHL campaign in franchise history.
With the acquisitions of Mikhail Sergachev and Ian Cole, Utah's blue line will be hard to play against, and Bortuzzo will need to be at the top of his game if he wants to keep his spot in the lineup.
