The Winnipeg Jets are now being forced to share one of their affiliate teams with another NHL franchise.
Jets Forced To Share With Hurricanes
It was just announced that the Carolina Hurricanes will have an ECHL partnership with the Norfolk Admirals.

This news comes less than a week after the Jets announced their affiliation with the Norfolk Admirals.

Now, the Hurricanes and the Jets will both send their prospects to the ECHL and they may potentially battle it out for who gets more ice time. The Hurricanes had not previously renewed their affiliation with the Admirals so it was assumed that their business with the Admirals was done. At the moment, the Hurricanes have no AHL affiliate but having an ECHL affiliate is a place to start, even if it is shared with the Jets.
