Player Safety will definitely be taking a look at the hit after Martin Pospisil of the Calgary Flames was ejected for an elbow on Josh Morrissey of the Winnipeg Jets.

The Calgary Flames Martin Pospisil was ejected from the game against the Winnipeg Jets for a vicious elbow on Josh Morrissey with under a minute left in the second period. The official call was a five-minute major for elbowing and a game misconduct.
"5 minute major and a game misconduct to Martin Pospisil for this hit on Josh Morrissey."
Josh Morrissey, who has been listed as a possible nominee for the NHL's Norris Trophy this season, was shaken up at first, but didn't miss any time in the game. He finished with over 27 minutes of ice time.
Matin Pospisil was suspended for three games about a month ago for boarding Vince Dunn of the Seattle Kraken. It was Pospisil's first suspension of his career.
"Martin Pospisil leaves his feet and makes head contact on Josh Morrissey with his elbow on hellacious hit. Review determines it a major and game misconduct and you can bet a suspension looms large, especially given he was just suspended for a bad hit."
Even fans of the Calgary Flames weren't impressed with Martin Pospisil's elbow on Morrissey.
"Might be an unpopular opinion amongst Flames fans, but Pospisil really has to clean up his play next season.

I love the rat role, but these hits are just stupidity at this point. He jumped and stuck his elbow out, glad Morrissey is okay.
