After one poor year as a Head Coach in the NHL, former Jets assistant Pascal Vincent is now heading back to the AHL with the Laval Rockets.

The Winnipeg Jets have former coaches all over the hockey world, and now another gets a new job, with Pascal Vincent bouncing back quickly after he was fired by the Columbus Blue Jackets. According to a social media post from the Montreal Canadiens, the former Jets assistant and Manitoba Moose Head Coach will be taking over as Head Coach of the Laval Rockets.
The Laval Rocket hire Pascal Vincent as their new head coach.
Former Jets assistant coach and Moose head coach Pascal Vincent has a new gig.

His former team plays his new club in Quebec in February and in Manitoba in early April.
In 325 games coached with the Moose, Vincent put together an impressive 155-139-31 record, being named AHL Head Coach of the Year back in 2017/18 before moving up to the NHL as an assistant. Sure, there wasn't an overwhelming amount of talent to be coached in Columbus, but Vincent drew plenty of heat for the way he handled young players like David Jiricek and Kent Johnson, and now he'll head back to the AHL to develop the future of the Canadiens.
At 52-years of age, there's still plenty of time for Vincent to make his comeback to the NHL, but if that is to happen, he'll need to bounce back with success this year on a talented Laval Rockets squad.
