The Winnipeg Jets organization has officially lost one of their coaches, former Mantiboa Moose assistant Nolan Baumgartner, as the Ottawa Senators have hired him as an assistant coach.

Today, the Ottawa Senators made a few coaching announcements as they have hired Mike Yeo and Nolan Baumgartner.
The #Sens have announced that Mike Yeo and Nolan Baumgartner will join Daniel Alfredsson and Ben Sexton as Assistant Coaches on Travis Green's staff.

Baumgartner spent the past two seasons as a Manitoba Moose's assistant coach and was fairly successful coaching them to the AHL playoffs in both years.
The Moose will now be in a difficult situation as they need to replace Baumgartner.
Now it's not just the Jets who need a new assistant coach.

As has been rumoured for a bit but confirmed today, Manitoba Moose assistant coach Nolan Baumgartner is joining the Senators coaching staff.

He and Travis Green have a long history together.

The Jets are searching for a new assistant and if they see anybody they feel has the potential to coach at the NHL level but is not ready quite yet, they may try to get them in Manitoba.
