Winnipeg Jets Cole Perfetti at risk of being offer sheeted by NHL teams

Cole Perfetti is still waiting for his contract from the Winnipeg Jets, and the more time that goes by, the higher the offer sheet risk goes up. We've just seen today the St. Louis Blue offer sheet Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg of the Edmonton Oilers, so Jets fans are not too comfortable knowing Perfetti remains vulnerable.

Cole Perfetti started out of the gate strong last season, but it quickly turned ugly as he began to get on the bad side of former Jets coach Rick Bowness. New head coach Scott Arniel has a belief that Perfetti is going to have a fantastic season, once he gets signed that is.

Cole Perfetti is hoping he will be able to avoid the same fate as he endured last season when he watched many games up in the press box and also didn't play in four of five of Winnipeg's playoff games due to once again being a healthy scratch.

Cole Perfetti did have a good moment or two last season however, with the most memorable one coming from his five-game goal scoring streak, which led many to believe a contract extension was going to happen during that period, which ultimately didn't.

Every other player except Cole Perfetti has been signed by the Winnipeg Jets, which puts him in an extremely vulnerable position for an offer sheet. NHL teams are likely taking a strong look at this opportunity as we speak. If that is the case, the Jets would have seven days to respond to the offer, or risk losing Perfetti for likely the rest of his career.

Cole Perfetti is 22-years-old and was selected 10th overall by Winnipeg in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He has scored 29 goals and 75 points in 140 career NHL games. In his most recent season with the Jets, Perfetti notched 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 points in 71 games.
