Earlier this season it was reported that the Winnipeg Jets were at risk of being in a bad position economically, however, it has now been released that it isn't as bad as it was thought.

The Winnipeg Jets are having a tremendously successful season on the ice, and are poised to take on the Colorado Avalanche in the post-season this year. However, earlier this season it was widely reported that ticket sales in Winnipeg were on the decline, prompting some worry from fans in Winnipeg that there could be a move out of the City.
However, it has now been revealed that the WinnipegJets are not as economically in trouble as it was previously suggested. The worry at the beginning of the season was that if ticket sales didn't increase, there might be a situation where the Jets were forced to move out of Winnipeg again. However, given the closest comparison in Arizona, the Jets aren't actually in a terrible position and have not lost money since the NHL team came back.
Here is what owner Mark Chipman had to say.
"From an overall perspective, no, we've never lost money in our NHL years. Previous years we did,"

The question becomes whether or not the Winnipeg Jets can have success this post-season, and if that success can give them a major boost in ticket sales. They are poised to take on the Colorado Avalanche, a series that looks to be in the Jets favour after this season's performance.

Have to believe Winnipeg wont be lacking confidence. The Jets just swept the Avs in 3 games this season...outscoring Colorado 17-4
