The Winnipeg Jets just traded one of their top prospects in Rutger McGroarty, and now another reportedly wants to be moved.

After a dramatic summer, the Winnipeg Jets moved Rutger McGroarty, giving some fans a pesemistic view on the future of some of their most important prospects. One of those names is Colby Barlow, who was their first-round pick in 2023, and now he seemingly wants a trade as well.
Thankfully for Winnipeg, it's not from the Jets, but instead the Owen Sound Attack, with whom he has played over the past three years, as a report has revealed that he wants to be moved to either the Oshawa Generals or the Barrie Colts.
According to the rumour presented, Barlow wanted to be traded, but the team aren't looking to honour that request right now, even with the former No. 18 overall pick wanting to be moved before the season began. Last year, Barlow led the Attack to the playoffs on the back of 40 goals and 68 points in 50 games played, with the 19-year old looking every bit as good as hoped when the Jets picked him in 2023.
There's still time before the season begins for Owen Sound to make a move, so for both Jets and Attack fans, this will be a very intriguing storyline to keep an eye on moving forward.
Here are his crazy highlights from last season:
