Last night was fight night in the NHL playoffs, as tempers boiled over in several series that had games. That included the Edmonton Oilers versus the LA Kings, who saw a massive brawl break out after Evander Kane was hit by Andreas Englund. The hit occurred at center ice in the third period.
You can see that Kane doesn't play the puck in the sequence, which is likely the cause of most of the outrage from Oilers players as the hit did happen to avoid the head area. However, that didn't stop Oilers players from standing up for their teammates, and the brawl broke out immediately.
This only seemed to fuel the Oilers, who ended up going on to win the game in a dominating fashion 6-1. The Oilers are now up 2-1 on the series, and look to have tilted the ice their way. It is safe to say that tomorrow's matchup will be an exciting one to watch!
