Heartbreaking news regarding Don Cherry: his daughter Cynthia has died

Cynthia Cherry was born on March 29, 1957. Her dad was the legendary Don Cherry, former NHL coach and Canadian broadcaster on Hockey Night in Canada. It was reported that Cynthia unexpectedly passed away on July 15th, at the Trillium Health Centre.

Don Cherry was a prominent NHL coach many decades ago, standing behind the bench of the Colorado Rockies, but for the most part the Boston Bruins. When he left coaching, he took up broadcasting, where fans across the country got used to seeing him every Saturday Night on his segment called Coach's Corner, with his co-host Ron McLean. Following his departure, Hockey Night in Canada was never the same.

Don is definitely going to be grieving from the passing of his daughter Cindy. She leaves behind her son Del, and his father Roger. She was a beloved daughter of both Don and her late mother Rose.
