Jaromir Jagr, despite his age, has continued his incredible and illustrious hockey career and has now surpassed the great Gordie Howe for this record.

While Jaromir Jagr is no longer playing in the NHL, it is still incredible that he is able to play professional hockey at his age. When most players are starting to wind down their playing careers in their late 30s and early 40s, Jagr is playing well into his 50s and still dominating.
Just the other day, Jagr returned to play for Kladno, the team he owns in Czechia, and the game marked his surpassing of Gordie Howe for oldest player of professional hockey.
"Jaromir Jagr is playing today for his @RytiriKladno. Will become the oldest "professional" player to play in a profi league. He is 52 years and 63 days old.
Gordie Howe was 52 years and 11 days when finishing his NHL career.
And Jagr just scored a goal in @telhcz !!!"
While it is not the NHL like Howe, it is still an incredible feat for Jagr to be playing, especially with how much the game has changed since Howe's day to a much faster and more athletic game. The fact that Jagr can keep up at his age is insane, and he was even able to pot a goal for Kladno.
52-year old Jaromir Jagr is back in the Czech Republic after his trip to Pittsburgh, and scored on his *first* shift 🚨🍷
With Jagr still playing, he is not yet eligible for induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. When he does decide to hang up his skates for good, he is a shoo-in to have his name in the HoF.
