Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau's sister Katie broke her silence for the first time since the tragedy that took the lives of her two brothers.

Less than a week after Sean Higgins killed Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew, the world is still in shock, but the people who suffer the most are their family.
They were tight, the Gaudreaus. Johnny, Matthew, Katie, and Kristen, along with their parents Guy and Jane, formed the perfect family.
When they met on Thursday night for the rehearsal of Katie's wedding, set to take place last Friday, they had no idea it would be the last time they would see Johnny and Matthew alive.
The two brothers left the rehearsal on their bikes and never made it home.
Four days after the crime took place, Katie was ready to speak out, and she did so with an Instagram post.
She posted their last picture together, taken on Thursday, the night of their deaths, at the rehearsal, with a heartfelt message.
Check it out here:
"To know these two was to love these two. There are absolutely no words I have to express the bond my family shared. The entire world knows there would never have been a John without Matty or Matty without John. The absolute best big brothers a little girl could have asked for. This will never be a goodbye post because I will never stop saying your names and honoring you both. I'll take the best care of Mom, Dad, Kristen, Mer, Madeline, and your babies."

Once again, our thoughts go out to the family.
