As Vincent Troheck was making his way back to his bench, he had to skate between his teammate Mett Rempe and his opponent Johnny Gaudreau. He entered in a violent collision with Gaudreau on the way.
Here's what went down:
Trocheck received a five-minute major penalty and the refs reviewed the incident.
In the review, we can sclearly see that Trocheck attemped to avoid the contact:
After careful consideration, the referees decided to reverse their decision.
Gaudreau stated after the game that he agrees with the decision to reverse the penalty on Trocheck, his friend.
"#CBJ Johnny Gaudreau made it clear he did not think #NYR Vinny Trocheck should have been penalized on his mid-ice hit in the second period.

Trocheck came to the #CBJ dressing room post-game to check in with Gaudreau. They're good friends. No issues going forward."
At 9 750 000$ a year, do you think Gaudreau is overpaid?
